Biography

Dr. LEUNG Sze-Yin Agnes has major research interest in the field of allergy and immunology, particularly on food allergy. The main goals of Dr. Leung’s current research are to analyze the patterns, causes, and effects of food allergy in Asia-pacific regions, in hope to providing effective preventive methods and safe treatment plans for patients with food allergic disorders. She has been conducting ongoing research on fish and shellfish allergy in the past three years. In 2017/2018, Dr. Leung received a major grant from the Innovation and Technology Fund of the Hong Kong SAR Government. Consecutively in 2016 and 2017, Dr. Leung also received research grants from the Hong Kong Institute of Allergy to conduct research on the utility of major recombinant allergens in IgE-mediated seafood allergy.
